Position Title: Junior Automation QA Tester

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Automation QA Tester with over 2 years of experience in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automation testing methodologies and tools, along with a passion for ensuring the highest standards of software quality. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and senior QA members to identify and address software defects and improve the overall quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Test Automation Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless execution.
• Test Planning and Execution:
• Collaborate with QA team members to understand testing requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Execute automated and manual tests to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
• Defect Tracking and Reporting:
• Log defects with detailed steps for reproduction, expected and actual results.
• Work with development teams to verify defect fixes and perform regression testing.
• Documentation:
• Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Collaboration:
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in software testing.
• Provide input to improve the QA processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or similar.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
